We work together to create clear, concise, and compelling content.

Christine Goldfuss content editor

Thoughtful, nonjudgmental editing

Remember the sinking feeling you used to get in high school English class when reports were being returned? You’d look at that big red letter at the top of the page, as your eyes inevitably drifted lower to survey the sea of red marks and strikethroughs now adorning the report you spent so much time perfecting.

For many of us, having our writing judged and corrected takes us back to those days of reports teaming with red marks.

I am not here to judge your writing — I know what that feels like. I’m here to help shape your writing so that your content is engaging and takes your small business closer to achieving your marketing goals.

My background

With over 20 years of experience in B2B marketing and copywriting, I was increasingly asked to assist with editing projects. I found the process of shaping and refining written content while maintaining the author’s voice to be an enjoyable challenge. In 2023, I completed the copyediting certificate program at UC San Diego to advance my editing techniques and grammar.

In addition to freelance editing, I serve as the volunteer deputy managing editor at Divided We Fall, a nonprofit promoting bipartisanship and civil discourse.

In my spare time, you’ll find me hiking in the woods with my husband and dog, cuddling with my cat, reading a good book by a cozy fire, or working on the New York Times word games.

My values

Thorough - My primary role is to ensure that your content is clear, concise, and coherent with all spelling and grammatical errors corrected.

Thoughtful - The first rule of copyediting is “do no harm.” I won’t change something unless there is a good reason to do so (and I will explain why the change is necessary).

Warm - I provide feedback in a warm, professional manner — just as I would for a good friend.

If these are your values too, we may be a good fit to work together.
